夏姑蘇は浙北木、海藻、宣神などの痰火瘰癧（主に頸部リンパ節結節結核を指す）、肝火瘰癧（肝気が滞り、火熱邪気が発生する）に対する疏肝解表薬と組み合わせることができる。 Xia Gu Cao belongs to the liver and gallbladder meridian, with pungent, bitter and cold properties, it has the efficacy of dispersing knots and eliminating swellings, clearing the liver and diarrhoea (removing liver fire), and brightening the eyes, it can be used for scrofula and gall tumour (equivalent to thyroid tumour), it can be used in conjunction with Zhe Beimu, seaweed, Xuan Shen and other eliminating phlegm and dispersing medicines, it can be used for scrofula which has phlegm-fire and liver-fire depression, and liver-depressing and fire (the liver qi is impassable, leading to the production of fire-heat and evil qi), and it is often used in conjunction with Xuan Shen and Kung Fu, and it is used in treating gall tumour. 乳房萎黄（乳房に痛みを伴うしこりがあり、月経周期や感情の変化と密接な関係があり、乳房過形成に相当する）、乳房癰、乳房の膨張と痛み、頭痛とめまい、眼球の夜間痛、目の腫れと痛み、充血にも使用できる。 脾胃虚弱の方は使用上の注意が必要で、副作用はまだはっきりしていません。 副作用を避けるため、自己判断で使用せず、気分が悪くなったら病院へ行ってください。
