三物生は漢方薬で、主に風湿を散じ、肝腎を補い、腱や骨を強くし、胎児を元の状態に戻す作用があり、リウマチや麻痺、腰痛や膝の痛みや脱力感（腰痛や膝の痛みや脱力感）、筋や骨の弱り、妊娠中の血の漏れ、胎児の落ち着きのなさなどの治療に用いることができ、明確な使用禁忌はない。 Sang Mang Sheng is the dried leafy stems and branches of Sang Mang Sheng, a plant of the family Sang Mang Sang Sang, which is bitter, sweet and neutral in nature; it belongs to the liver and kidney meridians and has the efficacy of dispelling wind-dampness, tonifying the liver and kidneys, strengthening the tendons and bones, and stabilising the fetus and Yuan, and it can be used in the treatment of rheumatism and paralysis, soreness of the waist and knees, weakness of the tendons and bones and deficiencies of the liver and kidneys (the liver and kidneys functioning in a weak manner), disintegration of menstruation (menstrual bleeding that is too profuse or drips more than one drop), leaking of blood in pregnancy, and restlessness of the foetus. 参苓湯の使用に明確な禁忌はないが、漢方薬の使用も医師の診断のもとで行うべきであり、やみくもに単独で使用すべきではない。
